READ DEADLY REDEMPTION September 8, 2010 Valued Customer (USA) Read Dead Redemption
Read Dead Redemption is an awesome game, which you can spend countless hours playing, or goofing off and enjoying yourself. Although the plot is somewhat short, It's a game that you'll enjoy time after time again. I recommended this to someone who likes games that you can do anything in, spend countless hours playing.
Rockstar fan but this is horrible September 7, 2010 Michael B. Barker (Greer, Az) Look, I loved all the GTA games and was really looking forward to RDR. What a disappointment. It takes forever to ride the horse from one action location to another. It is just too slow moving to keep my interest. I really tried to like this game but finally had to just shelve it and replay some old ones. Just wondering--are the glowing reviews real or are they written by employees of Rockstar whose managers realize they have huge dud on their hands? Especially the ones that say crap like, "this is the best game I have ever played!" or "This is the best game Rockstar ever made!" After playing the game, I wonder, what game are you dudes talking about?
Cant stop playing this game September 6, 2010 mark (SAN JOSE, US, Canada) This game has made me stop playing Call of Duty for a while now, great game, definitely on my top 5 all time
A western epic unlike any other in gaming September 6, 2010 A. Collazo After completing Red Dead Redemption (RDR) and receiving 100% completion game stat, I am left awestruck to the brilliance of this epic western title. Rock_Star literally nailed it with RDR in regards to details, visuals, voice acting, & storyline. Rarely does a video game come out with so much detail like RDR. Prior to playing RDR, I was not a big fan of the western genre. However, giving the incredible rave reviews in which RDR has gotten, I decided to make the purchase. I can say wholeheartedly that I did not regret purchasing this game as I was literally hooked to RDR the minute I started playing. Somehow, Rock_Star was able to put so much details into RDR that you actually feel that you are somewhere in the Southwest portion of the United States or in Mexico.
As I said before, the details of this game is ridiculous. The facial animations, open world settings, character interactions, and limitless action will leave you feeling like you've gone through an adventure of a lifetime. RDR is a very long game. So much to do and see, it will take an individual plenty of hours to accomplish everything in RDR. Anyone feeling hesitant in buying this game should not worry no more as RDR will simply give you one of the best gaming experiences ever. I can say that RDR is definitely one of my top five games of all time. It took Rock_Star five years to make RDR from start to finish and it shows big time. The effort in which the team at Rock_Star took to make RDR is incredible. I can only imagine the amount of hours that was put in to make this game.
Amid the minor glitches found in this title, Red Dead Redemption will give anyone an experience like no other with regards to open world games. RDR has elevated the standard of sandbox games and can be summed up with one word...phenomenal!!
This was a good game September 5, 2010 Fox (New Cumberland, PA) I wouldn't buy it brand new though. It was my step Dad's and I took it and played it and beat within 2 weeks. I didn't really go around killing people. I did all the main stream and stranger missions and did some hunting challenges. It was alright but not enough to be considered an amazing game. You just have to be into these kinds of games to play them.
